We were appointed to the chairperson role of the European Heart Society’s Task Force Guides of Aortic Diseases. Since 2023, we are vice-chair of a new European COST action including >40 countries (EU-METAHEART CA22169) with the common interest of deciphering the metabolic alterations in heart failure from a multidisciplinary perspective. In general, we obtained budget for 9 research projects in competitive public calls (2 of them international) and 9 research projects in competitive private calls. In addition, our group has been awarded this year with a new Miguel Servet Grant for Dr. Andrea Guala. During the last year, 3 thesis dissertations were presented, one of them with International doctoral research component.
